Tips for Success
Aside from all the assistance you will receive from Western Iowa Tech’s CareerPath program, here are some helpful pointers that will let you know that you can do it!
- Be clear about your ultimate goal. Do research in the field you want to study to ensure you will enjoy the program and the career.
- Visit the “Iowa Jobs” section on the Iowa Workforce Development website at www.iowajobs.org. Take some time to find out what the demand for jobs in your chosen career might be today and in the future.
- Put your finances in order. We’ll do all we can to assist you in obtaining financial aid to cover some or all of your costs. You should, however, plan your budget carefully ahead of time so that you can concentrate on your education once classes start.
Planning your time is very important, too. Classes and studying will add to your workload. Be sure to keep some time for yourself, for your family or friends, for fun.
