Denison - Paying for College

Even though Western Iowa Tech is one of the most affordable colleges in the area, the vast majority (82 percent) of our students receive some form of financial assistance. We offer all federal grant and loan programs and we award hundreds of Western Iowa Tech grants and scholarships every year.

For government options go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Western Iowa Tech’s code number is 004590. This document will tell us what financial aid options you can pursue.

Tuition Payment Plan

Western Iowa Tech also offers a convenient automatic payment plan. This is not a loan but a way you can budget your tuition and fees by automatic monthly account withdrawal or with a credit card. You have no debt and there are no interest or finance charges assessed. The cost to enroll is $25 per semester.

Employer Tuition Reimbursement

Tuition reimbursement is a valuable benefit many companies now offer. More and more companies realize tuition reimbursement is an effective way to recruit and retain employees. Check with your supervisor or human resources department to see if your company can help pay for college.
